Bernardo Cubría

Bio. A Short Story.

Bernardo Cubría was born in Mexico City before it was fashionable. He then came to America (these details are classified) and lived in Houston, Texas. There he went to an International High School and was lucky enough to learn English, French and Spanish fluently. He also played starting goalie for their soccer team, The Awty Rams. (Impressive)

He then went on to get his B.A. in Theatre and Communications at The University of Houston. There he was able to work with Tony Award winner Stuart Ostrow (his hero), Lanford Wilson, Sir Peter Hall, Dr. Sidney Berger and Carolyn Houston Boone. He then helped create the theatre group, The Unheard Voices, which is still there today. Later he met Amy Hopper and joined her amazing theatre company Nova Arts Project in Houston, Texas.

He has been involved in over 50 stage productions and many different film and television projects. However his love of being an “artist” (whatever) has led him to do mostly things that don’t pay. Please help him get over this “art” thing by offering him union contracts with money.

Bernardo then went on to study Comic Acting and Commedia D’ell Arte in Italy at the International School of Comic Acting. Antonio Fava is amazing! Thanks to this he is now conversant in Italian (impressive once again!).

In October of 2007 he moved to New York City and is now pursuing his dream of acting with great people and telling great stories. He is also currently writing this bio as if somehow else wrote it. (Impressive but weird…)

He also loves guacamole and tortillas, but you already knew that!
