so I am now only a week away from playing Hamlet here in NYC and can safely say I am not nervous at all! Why you ask? Well I just ate peyote that’s why! In all seriousness, please come out and see this great production of one of theatre’s oldies but goodies. Melody Brooks is an amazing director and I think you’ll love her interpretation of the story.  I am blessed to be working with a very talented cast and they are helping me look much better than I am. so this has easily been the best month I have had in NYC as an actor. I booked two commercials (NFL DRAFT, ESPNDeportes), a BIG voice-over session (PEARSON EDUCATION), and am opening a show tonight that I am producing and acting in! When it rains it pours!

first off happy new year to all and I hope your vacations were as good as mine. The new year has been great so far for me. I booked and recorded a VO gig for Pearson Education. I had to sing in the session so I guess that means I have officially laid down a track!

Also I have been cast as Hamlet in a production of the show by the wonderful theatre company New Perspectives that will go up in May.

Lastly, I am in the process of production a night of short plays by four of the best up and coming Latino playwrights in the country; Raul Castillo (Knives and other Sharp Objects @ the Public), Mando Alvarado (Post No Bills @ Rattlestick), Tanya Saracho (Goodman Member), and Jerry Ruiz (Repretorio Español). It’s called One Night in the Valley and will go up in March and April.

Now for the news since I got back. I was cast as an Under-5 on the Maury Povich show. No my friends, the show isn’t fake, I was cast in a reenactment scene. I play a prettty skeezy dude. But hey, I MADE IT!!!!

Also I was cast in a reading of the new play Buela’s Cenntenial by the great writer Rob Santana. It’s being done at the wonderful Repretorio Español on 138 E 27th Street. It’s on December 1st at 6:30pm and it’s part of a contest and the winner gets a full production, so please come and support.

so this month has been awesome. I’ll start with the acting update: I got cast in the new Jose Rivera play Boleros for the Disenchanted. It is being produced by the Barksdale Theatre in Richmond, Virginia. I moved down here about a week and a half ago and am now about to go into tech. It’s been a short but awesome rehearsal process and the show is amazing. We got a great director and an awesome ensemble of Latino actors from NYC. We open Friday September 18th and run until October 25th. Go to the website for all the dates and ticket purchasing things:

Now on the play-writing front things are taking off. My short play Danica and Jean was selected as part of  a short play festival in Los Angeles being put on by the awesome theatre company Towne Street Theatre. The festival runs all throughout October. For dates and times check out their website:

And last but not least my full length play Down Boy has been chosen to have a stged reading done in Houston Texas on October 19th. The awesome Elizabeth Earle and her company Wordsmyth Theatre are putting on the whole festivity and I get to fly down from Richmond to see the reading. Their website is

well the month of July has been very kind to me and I couldn’t be happier. First of all, I booked an industrial for New Vision which was an awesome shoot. Then I booked a Voice Over that is gonna run on MTV for a new company called CellFish Media. I’m the over the top Latino announcer voice.

Plus I am currently in rehearsals for Midsummer Night’s Dream with the awesome company Pulse Ensemble. The show runs most of August in various parks around the city and I’m playing Demtrius. Oh yeah, Latino Lover baby! Here are the dates and times:

sorry for the delayed post but thankfully May has been a busy month for me so here goes all the news:

The film I’m in, Night Voles is premiering at the Houston Fringe Festival. It was directed by the Cannes Film Festival Official Selection making director Alejandro Sescosse and written by my friend Sarah Patterson and also stars the awesome John Berno. Also I just recorded my first Voice-Over here in NYC. It’s for an educational company and it’s in ESPANOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
